Winter and your pets

Iowa winters are seriously no joke sometimes! Today for example its like all of -8 and Im pretty sure thats not taking in the wind chill.

I am sitting at me desk working and I myself am constantly cold so I of course have my handy space heater blowing right on me. My jack russell is sitting in front of the heater as well. ( Hes just a lil guy after all) I look down at him and hes just chillin hanging out soaking up all the heat. I reach down pick him up put him in my lap and Im cuddling him. Jack looks at me like "yo can you put me back at the heater?"

I have a pretty decent size hoodie on and he looks sleepy and so this happens....

My point is that if you are cold your animals are probably cold too. Yes its cute and yes he is so very spoiled! I know that not everyone spoils their animals Im not saying that by any means. What I do think is that there are far too many animals that are left outside on days like this brutally cold with no shelter. This is really unacceptable. I understand that in history dogs were left outside and were fine. That may be true, but that doesnt make it right!

Our animals depend on us for nearly everything in their life not just love.

Jack also wants to say...

Please make sure your furbabies are warm and safe in this kind of weather!

A safe and comfortable dog is a happy dog!

BenjPets rope toys ( dog toys ) ♥

I love a good story especially when it involves dogs. To be honest if it were up to me... I would deal with all dogs and maybe a handful of actual people! Dogs are just generally cooler!

Anywho! So I was given the chance to review some new dog toys, while I was waiting for them I reached out to the seller. I wanted to know more about the business and stuff. What I learned made me smile. The business name is after the owners dog whose name is benji! ( bonus because benji was one of my favorite movies as a kid)

This guy not only named a business after his dog, but this dog was also adopted! I have a big spot for people who rescue animals! I think that honestly its one of the greatest things we can do is to give an animal a proper home with lots and lots of love!

Clearly he loves that dog and has made some pretty great toys in the name of his furbaby!

My furbabies love these toys! The are like a soft but durable rope material and the material is 100% eco-friendly cotton! No chemicals or potentially dangerous things to hurt your dog!

When I say durable I mean it, Jack is the toy killer! Its almost like its his purpose in life is to find toys... and tear them apart! He played with this all day and its in pretty darn good shape.. ( except the tail.. he pulled that right off ( no big deal because that's pretty normal with any toy for him)

Dozer LOVES his new baby - hes actually sleeping by it right now! I had alot of fun playing with them with these toys and I really look forward to seeing whats next for BenjPets!

The shedding struggles ( Deluxe Pet Grooming Glove review)

I've been looking for a product to help me save some time grooming the furbabies. This is a Pet brush glove that one has a bristle brush side and a soft microfiber-ish on the other side.

Pros

it does help remove loose dog hair
its easy to switch between hands as there is thumb holes on both sides of the glove
less stress to the dog during brushing
would be good for removing matted hair
It would be a good addition to scrubbing the dog during bath time.

CONS

NOT good for short haired dogs ( the brush will not collect the hair)
you will have to sweep and dust the area right after brushing.
It doesn't save you time trying to control shedding

I would only recommend this to owners of cats and dogs with longer hair (click photos to enlarge)

A mother's love! Jannie Mae Creations!

So lemme tell you right now.. my fur baby is super happy! My dog love sweaters and all kind stuff.He sits pretty to let me put them on him. I always wanted to get something with his name on it but didn't want to pay a ton to have it done. I was happy that Janet fromJannie Mae Creations agreed to let me do a product review for her! Let me just tell you if you don't like these colors.. she has a ton of colors ,fonts and themes! I like this one because its fall themed!
When jack and i opened the package to day i was more happy that i thought i would be its very well made! When you put it on your dog even if he is trying to wiggle out of it there is a backing to it that will keep the name showing! ( this will help with dozer since hes more hyper and a stinker for sure) it was easy for me to put it to the length and fit that i wanted! and he loves it! You can see as he is sitting there so nice and posing for me!
The prices are really affordable and the highest price that i was able to find was the most detailed bandana it was still only $20. She offers a lot of different products not just for pets! You can find hooded towels for kids Beach Bags, Towels, Pillows and other fun items!

I also want to mention this lady stole my heart when she told me she makes these products to help her daughter pay student loans! THAT'S A MOTHERS LOVE!

I just leveled up on DOG BATHS! THANK GOSH!

If you have dogs you know the struggle of bath time... I have 2 Jack who HATES baths and it's like prison break EVERY time i have to give him a bath. And dozer.. well he just wants to drink ALL of the water ( which means all of the potty time for hours) I actually gave both dogs a bath in under 30 minutes! Usually I spend 20 minute on EACH of them just trying to get them all wet to wash them.

Iowa based company Siberian Soap Co. not only SMELLS AMAZING But the plant essential oils that give them the smells are natural insect repellents as well (lavender, lemongrass, tea tree, and eucalyptus essential oils are natural insect repellents)! Its very first ingredient is coconut oil which is SUPER good for dogs i actually have softer hands right now after giving the dogs a bath!! Its good for dogs with itchy & dry skin like my jack!

The products are Eco-friendly from the product itself with Eco-friendly ingredients .. right down to the packaging ( who doesn't love that?! ) Not only good for your dog but is safe for the environment!

They have other great products as well not just for dogs they have lip balm ( i say try the peppermint because its AMAZING! I use a TON of lip balm and this is great and i think i need more!!

While I couldn't get a good video of jack.. dozer behaved long enough for me to show you how easy it was to give him a bath!
